MIT’s Open CourseWare now for high school students

I’ve posted here before about MIT’s fantastic OpenCourseWare, a web site where you can find MIT class materials to download. Now MIT is offering a special version of it for high school students and teachers. Here is the announcement. Apparently, high school students were already downloading materials from OpenCourseWare. From the announcement:

An estimated 10,000 U.S. high school instructors and 5,000 U.S. high school students already visit MIT OpenCourseWare each month, and MIT expects Highlights for High School to make MIT’s course materials even more useful to these audiences.

Once again, Bravo MIT! (Hat tip to CNET news.com for bringing this to my attention.)
